90-Day Warranty:

-Included with ALL repair work regardless of item.

-We warrant our workmanship and parts used in all of our repairs against defects when used under normal conditions for 90-days from the original date the repair was completed or product was purchased. The warranty is non-transferrable and is void if the item is misused, altered or tampered with or if anyone other than one of the Retro & Rare team members previously has attempted or subsequently attempts to repair the item. All of our console repairs and consoles sold via retroandrarevideogames.com have a warranty sticker affixed that must stay in tact in order for warranties to be redeemed. If an item does not have a warranty sticker, it is understood under good faith that the above criteria is honored if claiming a warranty. We photograph all of our work and in most cases are able to prove if any form of tampering has been done. 

Limited Lifetime Warranty:

-Available on ALL console repairs

-Excludes modified consoles and consoles that have had work done that alters it from factory specifications, however we encourage customers to open discussion regarding consoles fitting this criteria and in most cases will handle the issue.

-Not included with Controller repairs

-Excludes damage resulting from physical abuse, direct intentional neglect, water damage, insect infestations and factors other than normal use. 

-If HDMI repair was performed, additional HDMI repairs on the same console resulting from the above criteria are 50% off.

Elite Protection Plan:

-Additional service available for purchase. Applies to the individual console which the protection plan was purchased for. Each additional console will need a separate protection plan.

-Free cleanings (one per year)

-Free thermal paste/liquid metal replacement (one per year)

-Half off next repair (one per year)

-Priority Service "cut the line" and have your item attended to immediately

All of our items that we stock are of Good or better condition, have been cleaned, tested and verified for authenticity. We strive to not sell anything that we would not want to personally purchase, however many of our items are upwards of 20 years old and thus will show signs of age and wear. Our inventory sold on our website has been identified as showing no defects and as minor wear as possible. Our ebay store (retroandrare) contains our flawed items and items which we have deemed to not meet the quality expectation to be listed on our website. We take PRIDE in listing items that we feel confident you will be happy with purchasing. 

Are you a collector and want to know exactly what you are getting? We get it, seriously! We gladly welcome text messages requesting additional pictures of items.

We strive keep our consoles as OEM as possible and will use OEM parts in every instance physically possible. If we have a non-OEM part included, we will try to specify this. No fake replacment serial labels, replacement factory warranty stickers, replacement game cartridge stickers or shells are acceptable in our book unless specifically noted.

REFURBISHED:

-Has been completely disassembled, cleaned and tested for full functionality.

-Components inspected. Capacitors all checked and inspected for issues due to age and use and replaced accordingly.

-Thermal paste replaced and refreshed. Gears and moving components cleaned and re-lubricated.

-Laser assemblies cleaned and replaced if necessary.

-Plastic shells conditioned with professional restoration product (We do not retrobrite casings unless requested due to weakening of plastic. Our conditioner adds moisture back into the plastic to help strengthen it and prevent further light and environmental damage and decay).

SELECT REFURBIUSHED:

-All of the above plus additional notes and pictures specific to each listing.

-These are cream of the crop items that we have special characteristics such as a flawless OEM item in which we have done a full replacement of internal capacitors, brand new OEM parts replacements all around or other time consuming detail oriented activities that add to the long term investment of the item. 

-Additional product support and extended warranty - these items like children to us and we prefer to be the ones to provide service and upkeep at a highly discounted rate. 

CUSTOM:

-Item has had modifications and/or upgrades which are noted for each specific item.

-We can also provide specific builds and customizations on top of what each item in stock currently has at your request.

• A list of the games as well as the platform/system they are for.
• If the games include their original cases and manuals or if they are cartridge/disc only.
• If you are trading in a system let us know if you have a controller and all the cables needed to operate it.
• Any addtional accessories you have such as extra controllers, memory cards, etc
• OR you can just send us photos of everything you have to trade (please make sure the photos are clear and that we can tell what everything is in them).
• For mail-ins, our offer is contingent on the items being in expected or better condition than described. We reserve the right to adjust up or down upon recieving the items for various conditions such as but not limited to smoke other odors, internal defects or flaws, authenticity concerns etc. Our mail-ins will always be recorded when opened and examined to provide you with peace of mind and avoid potential issues or false accusations that could otherwise arise on either of our ends. We encourage a phone call prior to shipping to help answer any questions ahead of time.
